The newly developed methods to mitigate greenhouse gas emission will be evaluated from a wide range of perspectives; from field scale monitoring to global scale modeling, life cycle assessment (LCA), and ethical, legal and social implications (ELSI). In addition, N₂O and CH₄ production pathway, the rates of N₂O reduction and CH₄ oxidation will be estimated by using stable isotopes.

V2: Evaluation of N₂O and CH₄ production and consumption using stable isotopes
The project will elucidate N₂O production pathways and evaluate reduction rates from N₂O to N₂ using natural abundance of stable isotope and 15N tracer experiments. In addition, oxidation rates from CH₄ to CO₂ will be evaluated using natural abundance of stable isotope and 13C tracer experiments.
